Friday was a big day for Spencer, he sat up in an xray machine and they gave him things to swallow and watched where it went, if it was good, he could have the tube out of his nose and start to take mushy foods. he passed the test, and the nose tube came out, then he asked if he could watch a copy of it on the computer, they said NO ONE had ever asked to see that before so they said they would try! About 2 hours later Julie his speach therapist came to his room and he watched the tape of his test! Only Spencer would want to do that! Then when he came back to his room PT was there. Oh ya... spencer hasn't slept in 3 days so finally with a little help he took a nap.

We are so happy to hear the great news. Spencer I would have wanted to watch the xray as well. The body is a wonderful machine. Keep up the great job. Hugs to all of you!! and please get some sleep; healing happens when our bodies are at rest and we want you up and about soon.

Dear Spencer and Family,

We think about you and your family everyday. Hang in there and take those steps to recovery. There are more people than you know hoping and praying everyday that you are making progress and getting more comfortable each and every day. It will be a long road but with great family support you can accomplish anything. You are under the best care in Boston. I think this blog is a great thing. Thanks for all the updates. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
