spence was in great spirits today, even though it was at my expense. after dropping off his grandmother, brother and friend i went to the park the car. being the last one there i went to his room to find it empty. i checked the dining room: empty,PT room: empty, computer room: empty. the little buggger convinced his mom to take him to the hospital cafeteria. of course no note or anything for his dad. whats that saying about PAYBACK!!! it was well worth the laughs that were coming from him.
he met his tutor (hopefully that will start soon) and she told him that she has never tutored anyone in latin. irony is ,at one time she was a latin teacher. i think she is more excited than he is. of course it won't be the same as Mr Scully's class. (olivia made me put that in there, something about extra points on her next test).
tomorrow is haircut day, spence says he wants a mohawk. it will be interesting to see if he goes thru with it.

to everyone: Thank you for all the love and support. Keep it coming.

thats so great that you can go around the hospital and stuff. i'll admit though, some parts of that place creep me out. [like some of the elevators, ask your family about that one.] keep getting better! i know you're working very hard, and i'm so proud of you for that. if you need anything let me know. =]

love you!

Spence,

I vote for the mohawk. Danny has had some awesome ones, complete with a different color for each. He might have some idesa for you!
(Donna and Dave, it eventually goes back to normal). Keep up the great work. THe Dukeman-Gottschalk clan continue to have you and your family in our prayers.

Spencer,
If the Hospital Cafeteria threw Dave for a spin....Did you tell him that you are preparing to take your Mom for a much needed MARTINI across the Street at the infamous HARVARD GARDENS...I'll have you know Spence that is where I met Jim Butler (of course it was a much different bar in those days (1972) It was a well known "Bar" where you'd sit at the Bar and meet someone who had just performed a miracle surgery and on the other side a Street person.all interesting individuals.. it was just full of characters and a great time was had by all.(I actually think they runied the place with the new interior design) Hey Spence, you just brought me down memory lane of many years ago and brought a huge smile upon my face (like you always do) Now, back to that trip to Harvard Gardens...that will happen I guarantee it. Take care....

Spencer, you know that nothing is better than Scully's class. Just remember
SUM ES EST, SUMUS ESTIS SUNT
and SEMPER UBI SUB UBI.
you'll be fine.
i'm just said that they don't offer Latin at BSC. =[

AND if you get a mohawk, that would be flippin' sweet. Get better soon, Spence!!!

Hi Spencer,
It's great to hear how much you're enjoying your mom's home cooking. Better watch out, they'll be making you wheel laps around the hospital. I can relate. When I had surgery on my throat, I couldn't eat regular food for awhile. It was extra tasty when I was able to eat again. Did you get your hair cut today? I'm sure Erin will keep me posted. She'll be visiting again this weekend. Grandma Ella (my mom) says hi. She hears all the news through Erin, and is so happy with your progress. You are doing remarkably well. You have such a great support system between your family and all of your friends. Take care. Love Mrs. O'Gara

Uh,Dave, let me be straight with you, that wasn't a joke, you're family ditched you. Take it from me, we're in our mid-40's, this is when it happens. First it's a lunch, then it's a weekend trip without you, then one day you come home and Donna's making dinner for some 20 something year old whose wearing your slippers. Happened to me last week. Spence - glad to hear you're well enough to blow off Dad. I might need a place to crash a few nights so scoot over. Oh, I also took four years of Latin but I don't think I'd be any help because I can't even read the back of a dollar bill.
