Spence made it to the ICU of MGH. He saw a few of the people who were part of his first treatment. He told me it was weird because they all knew him but he did not remember any of them. That is no big suprise considering his condition at the time. Spence was able to talk to the surgeon who did the original clot busting surgery. Spence told him thanks for saving my life. He talked to a nurse who took care of him those first few days and she reminded him of his flipping me the bird. Spence now knows i have proof. I think it is hard for Spence to fully comprehend the journey he has been thru. he does know with all the help from his friends and family the outcome will be positive

I think its important for you to remember flipping your father the bird. I think the best way to do this it to re-enact. Try making a fist and flipping him off, then with your fingers bent a the knuckle, then sideways, the middle finger down then flip up. You can come up with your own ways, your creative. After a few hundred flips I'm sure it will come back to you. Personally I can't wait for the day when you can flip him off with both hands. Then your work will be done

Awww, Spence, I'm sorry I missed your visit to the ICU the other day!! It must have been weird to see all these nurses who remember you but you don't remember them. I showed a picture of you to one of the neurosurgeons who stole your bone flap, and he was so excited to see how well you were doing. Keep up the good work!
Love,
Missy
