Spencer today played a series of games with all the kids on the floor. Not sure who won or lost but Spence got Voted off the Floor and a Get Out of Jail Free Card. What does this mean?? As long as everything goes well (weather, medically etc.) he will go outside tomorrow for the first time in 48 days. The plan is for him to go to the mall in Cambridge. He heard there is a Apple computer store in the mall so he may jump right out of that wheelchair.
A couple of firsts today. Spence was able to move his elbow and 2 fingers today. He did this during therapy. The therapist must know how to relax certain muscles and stimulate others to get this movement.
Slowly we are getting there! Keep up the good work to everyone!

Hi Spence, Was visiting the gang at Friedman today and was informed about your stroke. Boy, was I shocked. It must have been a lot worse for your family and friend.
When you get a chance , email me and tell me all you and what you are doing. Get well.

Love, Mrs. Martin (your 8th grade Math teacher)

Spence, keep up the good work. It's been too long since my last post, so long that Ted had to resort to writing in Latin because neither Sarah or myself gave him any new material to make fun of. Just kidding, nice touch Ted.

I think Melina has kicked her cold and I'm going to try to bring her by on Sunday. See you soon.

I am yet to find a chain but as your "go to girl" I am gonna get on that! Your wrapping is going to be much more impressive once you have your new bling! Now me and BB will just have to figure out a way to pimp out the new "Toyota"...Tell everyone Hi and I'll see you soon!

Hi Spence,
Ahhh ... you'll retail therapy is the true road to recovery ... especially at a Mac store in a good mall. The Queen of Retail Therapy knows this all too well, just ask you Mom!

Please know that a number of us in the Bridgewater State College community hold you in our daily thoughts and prayers. Your Mom makes a very large and equally positive impression with people, no matter how long or short her stay.

And judging from the postings, you have the same gift, too, Spence. You can see it through the comments of your therapists and support of your family and friends.

Hugs and kisses to you, your Mom and Dad.
Love,
Eva

P.S. Don't listen to a certain individual who we both know (initials are MB). That would be the same person who gives you advice about bars, martinis, St. Paddy's Day, and anything that's a combustible liquid. Sha, sha ... a true corruption of the youth of America during the Lenten season of all things!

You haven't been out in 48 days here is what you missed: Rain, snow, cold, sleet, rain, cold, rain, sleet, cold. Yeah, you haven't missed much. Went to the Apple store at Providence Place. It was a dark, shining beacon in a dark forest. Like Rivendell. Little elves came out with their i-pods and i-macs and i-phones and they danced around leaving a trail of magic dust. I get chills thinking about it.

Rock on
