spencer today got a new wheelchair, one that he can maneuver himself. not very well but he can get around. he had his usual therapy and his first actual tutoring session. it was in latin, something he learned last year but he was pleased he remembered it. to go with his AFO he now has a UFO (universal foot orthotic). this is a brace he uses when lying down to keep the muscle tone in the ankle and foot. to everyone keep everything going we are getting there.

I guess I'm going to have to look out when i'm walking in the halls if your gonna be driving yourself around! I wonder if your chair is one of the ones we always play with in the halls, i guess ill have to see it next time, but maybe ill bring up some spinners for your wheels or one of those stickers that says "hows my driving" or something. Take care til then and stay strong! Thats an order! love ya! oh yea and i am happy to report i only have one more week of VP!

Yay! You must be totally stoked to have that wheelchair. That's pretty awesome, man. Amy and I are coming to visit on Saturday, so you can finally see our amazing hair ;)
Also, Anti-Spencer is a lefty and he wrestles. But, he likes Linkin Park, so not so much anti in that way.
Keep up the good work kid. I'll see you soon!

Love ya,
Kim

You actually got a UFO? Lol, that's awesome! Austin, Zach, and I have decided we've got to dig out that movie we made for Buttermore's class two years ago. Especially to watch me get hit in the helmet with the CO2 canister again! I couldn't hear for an hour after that, lol. Anyway, glad to hear you're doing so well, man. I'm gonna try to coerce Heather into telling me when you may be getting out, but I don't have high hopes of getting it out of her. Hope to see ya sometime soon, man.

Hello Spencer and the Nuttalls as a whole! Wow, every time I read this blog I am simply amazed at what I am reading. Spencer you continue to be a true inspiration to all of us. There is no doubt that you will take this recovery all the way and will accomplish everything you set out to do! I also wouldn't be surprised to be crying as I am watching your story as a Sunday night movie. Maybe we should get Oprah or them Hallmark people started on that now! Keep up the great work, we know you want to progress and get back home as soon as humanly (or spencerly) possible. So, when is that possible release date????

take care,
The Waters
